Our Coronavirus Cover
As travel starts to slowly resume, many people have started considering whether travel insurance is still necessary for future trips.
Quite simply, the answer is yes! We understand that at the moment lots of people are no longer seeing the benefit of having travel insurance because many providers have excluded coronavirus cover from their policies.
But think back to before COVID-19 existed. You still bought travel insurance to protect your trip then, so what’s changed? There’s still a risk that your holiday could be affected by something unexpected and completely out of your control (that has absolutely nothing to do with coronavirus), so why would you suddenly risk it?
We want to reassure our customers that we are still providing cover for their trips, regardless of a coronavirus pandemic. With any of our single and multi trip policies, we’ll provide protection for any emergency medical assistance related to the coronavirus, as well as cancellation cover if you test positive within a fortnight of leaving for your trip. So, when you’re ready to travel again, you can go on holiday with peace of mind knowing that should you experience any of the above scenarios on your holiday, you’re protected.
You’ll also be covered by our award-winning standard cover that protects you against departure delay, trip cancellation and personal possessions plus much more. So, should you face a holiday disaster, you’re covered for that too.
Like most current travel insurance policies, customers won’t be able to submit a claim for any other reason related to the coronavirus, such as trip cancellation, curtailment, or abandonment as the coronavirus is now classed as a ‘known event’. If your holiday plans have been affected by COVID-19, we may be able to amend your single trip travel insurance cover dates if you are able to rebook your trip for a later date.
