We understand insurance can be confusing, so we’ve broken down each document to help you easily understand what they mean, what’s covered, and what you need to do.

Your Travel Insurance Documents

You can access, read and download all of your travel insurance documents at any time by visiting your dedicated customer area. You will need to use the lead traveller’s details to link your policy to your account.

If you need printed copies of your documents, please click here to request these. Please ensure you include your name, date of birth and policy or quote number in the request email. Please do think of the environment before requesting.

Policy wording 

The policy wording is the document that explains all the details about your travel insurance. It tells you what’s covered, what’s not covered, and what to do if something goes wrong on your trip. It’s important to read this so that you know exactly what your insurance does and does not include.

Insurance product information documents (IPID)

An ipid (insurance product information document) is a short, easy-to-read summary of your travel insurance. It gives you the key facts about what’s covered, what’s not covered, plus limits and exclusions. It’s a quick way to check if the insurance meets your needs before looking at the full details in the policy wording.

Terms of business

The terms of business is a document that explains the agreement between you and the company providing your travel insurance, in this case, us! It tells you how we will work with you, how we will handle your information, and what your rights are. It’s important to read this so you know what to expect when buying your insurance.

Quote schedule

A quote schedule is a document that confirms your quotation details. It includes important details like your name, the dates you will be covered, and what type of cover you have.

Quote or policy letter

This will be a letter which gives you more details about next steps and how to get the most out of your cover.

Policy schedule 

A policy schedule is a document that confirms your cover. It includes important details like your name, the dates you will be covered, and what type of cover you have. You might need this document if you ever need to make a claim or show proof of insurance during your trip.

Medical declaration 

A medical declaration shows you what you have told the insurance company about any health conditions, and which conditions they have accepted cover for.  It’s important to be honest so that your insurance will cover you if something happens related to your health during your trip. If a condition is not listed on your declaration, it means your insurer might not know or have accepted cover for it. It is so important to make sure to check everything detailed on your declaration before you purchase your insurance, and if anything changes during the duration of your policy, please contact your insurer so they can update your information.
